Armenia’s GIS company, Geovibe, alongside Yerevan Municipality, has earned global recognition with the Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award at the 2025 Esri User Conference in San Diego, California.
Esri User Conference is the world’s largest GIS conference of the year.
Presented by Jack Dangermond, Founder and President of Esri, the global leader in GIS technologies, the award honors outstanding and innovative applications of GIS technology. This marks the first time an Armenian project has received a SAG Award, the area’s most prestigious international award, spotlighting GeoVibe’s pioneering role and Yerevan Municipality’s forward-looking aspiration in advancing smart city solutions and Armenia’s growing prominence on the frontiers of global technology innovation.
The award-winning project, the Yerevan ArcGIS Enterprise Geoportal, is a comprehensive digital platform (System of Systems) that allows Yerevan’s municipal departments and stakeholders to manage, visualize, and analyze geospatial data in real time. Through the implementation of this integrated platform, Geovibe has empowered Yerevan to make smarter, faster decisions, streamline urban planning, cost optimization, and better communicate with and engage its citizens.
